As a member of the Scriabin Club, you will:
- Join a global community of Scriabin enthusiasts and meet like-minded individuals.
- Participate in monthly meetings featuring lectures on Scriabin and discussions on world events.
- Collaborate on new Scriabin Club projects.
- Make meaningful contributions to the global body of knowledge about Scriabin.
How to join
Prerequisites for Membership
You’re welcome to join the Scriabin Club if you:
- Are curious about Alexander Scriabin (no need to be a professional musician).
- Have a strong desire to contribute in some way to promoting Scriabin’s music and ideas (see below for examples).
- Speak English, as most of our meetings are currently held in English.
- Are interested in participating in our monthly meetings.
Joining Process
- Send an email to inbox@scriabinclub.com.
- Introduce yourself and share how you’d like to contribute to the club (see options below).
- Specify your timezone and your preferred meeting time.
- Attend an online conversation with one or several Scriabin Club members.
- Introduce yourself during our next member meeting.
- Start contributing to the club in a way that suits your skills and interests.
How to Contribute
Members are encouraged to actively support the Scriabin Club by contributing to its mission. Contributions can include:
- Writing articles for our website or social media.
- Translating content into different languages.
- Conducting research about Scriabin.
- Hosting a presentation or lecture for the Scriabin Club.
- Contributing recordings.
- Supporting the club financially with a minimum annual donation of $12 USD (for those unable or unwilling to contribute in other ways).
- Suggesting your own ideas for contributing!
We believe everyone has unique experiences and perspectives to share. Our community welcomes people of all backgrounds, ages, and cultures, united by a shared passion for enlightening the world with Alexander Scriabin’s art.
Regular Scriabin Club Meetings
Times
Regular meetings are held on the first Sunday of every month at 8:00 PM CET (Central European Time). For reference:
- 8:00 PM CET:
- 11:00 AM Los Angeles (PST)
- 2:00 PM New York (EST)
- 8:00 PM Amsterdam (CET)
- 10:00 PM Moscow (MSK)
To accommodate members in different time zones, we are considering adding a second meeting option:
- Second Sunday of the month at 10:00 AM CET (Central European Time). For reference:
- 10:00 AM Amsterdam (CET)
- 12:00 PM Moscow (MSK)
- 5:00 PM Beijing (CST)
- 8:00 PM Sydney (AEST)
We encourage members to let us know their availability and preferences when joining so we can better accommodate our growing global community.
Structure
Our regular monthly meeting are taking place in the following form:
- Welcoming new members to our growing community.
- Exploring current developments in music and the arts, with a focus on connecting them to Scriabin’s legacy.
- Sharing and discussing a user-submitted recording, Scriabin-related research, or a presentation by a member or guest lecturer.
- Brainstorming new ideas for future projects and collaborations.
Meeting topics are announced in advance through our mailing list, allowing members to prepare and engage fully.
